Gold Certification to the IASME Internet of Things (IoT) Security Assured scheme

At Krucial, we are committed to setting the bar high – especially when it comes to data security.

That’s why we are delighted that Krucial has been awarded IASME IoT Security Assured Gold Certification. Not only is this the highest level of IASME certification, but Krucial is amongst the first in industry to receive this accreditation for our satellite-enabled connectivity service.

The scheme certifies internet connected devices against the most important security controls and demonstrates commitment to best practices in cyber security.

Why this matters for our customers

In a world where organisations are becoming increasingly dependent on the interconnectedness of devices, networks, and systems, reliance on external technologies and providers has become essential. Organisations need to have confidence that the links in their supply chain are secure.

The stakes remain high in cyber security – a single weak link in the chain can prove disastrous for an organisation concerned – with significant financial and reputational consequences.

Existing in-house security controls and robust cyber security measures are not enough. It is imperative that organisations also have the same level of confidence in their suppliers and vendors upholding best practice cyber security practices to safeguard their data, usability, and security.

Providing peace of mind

The IoT Security Assured certification scheme ensures that Krucial’s intelligent connectivity solution meets upcoming UK legislation, and European standards. It also provides organisations with the added assurance that we have robust security controls in place to safeguard their data.

Aligned with the ETSI technical standard for IoT security (EN 303 645) and proposed UK IoT security legislation and guidance – the scheme is also mapped to the IoTSF Security Compliance Framework.

Kevin Quillien, CTO at Krucial said:

“We are thrilled to be awarded IASME IoT Security Assured Gold Certification.  At Krucial, we are committed to demonstrating best practice cyber security standards – to both industry and our customers.

Business resilience is at the core of what we do. We work with organisations operating in critical infrastructure sectors where data security is crucial. Our satellite-enabled communications technology is designed with the highest levels of security controls and compliance in place to help fend off any potential threats.

Digital security, compliance and trust have never been so important to our customers – and we are committed to ensuring that we have best-practice security controls in place to safeguard their data.”

Martin Duffy, IASME’s IoT scheme manager said:

“IASME has developed the IoT Security Assured certification scheme to provide an accessible, achievable and high-quality way for companies to demonstrate the security of their internet-connected devices and to show they are compliant with best-practice security.

When the IoT Security Assured scheme badge is displayed on a device it will reassure the end user that their device has the most important security features included. We congratulate Krucial for achieving the highest level – Gold certification.”
